Medical Writer and Senior Medical Writer job vacancies with Max Resourcing

Medical Writers and Senior Medical Writers will work with doctors, scientists and other clinical experts to create content that effectively and clearly describes research results, product use and other medical information required for:

  • Medical marketing material
  • Compliance with regulatory documents
  • Journals and other guidelines in terms of content, format and structure

A Medical Writer's key responsibilities include:

  • Producing well-structured, well written and standards-compliant documents that clinical and pharmaceutical professionals can easily and quickly read and understand
  • Analysing scientific data to be used in regulatory submissions
  • Liaising directly with clients on a regular basis

Qualifications and experience required to be a Medical Writer:

  • Life Science degree, with a Ph.D or relevant Pharmaceutical experience
  • Dedicated, organised, talented and hard working with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Career and progression:

Many Medical Writers eventually move into management, taking care of teams of medical writers and managing projects at local and international level. However, if the thought of managing other people doesn’t appeal, this is by no means the only option. Working in Medical Writing gives you an overview of the entire clinical development process, so it’s an ideal starting point for other careers in the Pharmaceutical industry, such as regulatory affairs, clinical research, document management and even marketing. Some Medical Writers set up their own companies, and others move into editorial roles at publishing companies.
